Commercial overview
The 2024 Changan X5 Plus, launched in China in January 2024, is the first-generation compact SUV from Chongqing Changan Automobile in its most widely sold form. It uses the JL473ZQ7 1.5-litre variable-geometry turbo engine (138 kW, 300 N·m), a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox and 18-inch wheels. Domestic production of this model year has ended, so the 2024 car is mostly supplied as remaining new stock or used units. For price-driven importers, rental companies and fleet buyers it is the lowest-cost way into the X5 Plus range while keeping the same engine as the 2025 car.
