The right Changan X5 Plus trim depends on who will buy it from you. Fleets and taxi operators rarely pay for a 360° camera; showroom retail buyers often will. Below is what each trim adds, using the manufacturer's China-market equipment lists.
2026 Changan X5 Plus trims
The 2026 second-generation range has five trims. Four use the 141 kW 1.5T engine and 7-speed DCT; the entry trim uses a naturally aspirated 1.5L with a manual gearbox.

2025 Changan X5 Plus trims
Every 2025 trim uses the 138 kW variable-geometry-turbo engine, the 7-speed DCT and 225/55 R18 tyres, so the differences are all in equipment.

2024 Changan X5 Plus trims
The 2024 range shares the 2025 powertrain. Its Smart Lead trim is the only first-generation version with full-speed adaptive cruise; the Smart Premium has 12 ultrasonic parking sensors.

Which trim should a fleet buyer order?
For taxi, ride-hailing and rental use, pick the lowest trim that has the gearbox your drivers expect. The 2026 MT Luxury is the cheapest way in if manual is acceptable; the 2026 High Energy PRO or 2025 High Energy give you the automatic DCT and a rear camera without paying for screens and sunroofs that do not earn money in a fleet.
Which trim sells best in a showroom?
Retail customers compare screens, cameras and sunroofs. The Pioneer trims give you the panoramic roof and leatherette seats at a moderate step up; the Surpass and Excellence trims add the twin 12.3-inch screens and 360° camera that make the car look premium on a test drive. Mixing two trims in one order — a volume trim and a showroom trim — is a common approach.
